This memorial museum celebrates the achievements of Sano Tsunetami, a well-known politician from Saga, and features a training facility themed on “Fraternity.” It is adjoined by a historical park with the ruins of the Saga Domain Navy Yard, which is said to be the origin of Japan’s modern science technology. The museum exhibits the materials related to Sano, who is also known as a founder of Japan Red Cross Society, and his personal articles and serves as a facility for human resource development where people can learn about the achievement of Sano as well as the spirit of humanity and fraternity through volunteer activity, lifelong study and local community exchange activity.
